Sixth Annual Jazz for the Park proudly presents the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis as part of the "Portrait in Seven Shades" Tour.

Wilson Commencement Park is proud to announce an appearance by the world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis as part of their ongoing Jazz for the Park benefit series. This concert is part of the orchestra's Portrait in Seven Shades U.S. Tour.

Portrait in Seven Shades, composed by jazz reedman Ted Nash is the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra's first CD of original music in nearly four years. Nash's suite consists of seven movements, each inspired by a master of modern art:  Chagall, Dali, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Pollack and Van Gogh.  Special guests on the recording are Nathalie Bonin (violin), Wycliffe Gordon (tuba) and Bill Schimmel (accordion). The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will perform selections from the suite as well as a repertoire to include tunes by Count Basie, Mary Lou Williams and others.

Jazz for the Park Concert Ticket Information:
Tickets are $35, $45, and $75. Tickets can be purchased through Wilson Commencement Park by calling (585) 263-7938, at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office, located at 885 East Main Street, open Monday - Friday from 10 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and on show days from noon to curtain call.
